The award, presented by Women in Technology (WIT) and Grant Thorton, recognizes women in technology or scientific leadership positions for their professional accomplishments and community involvement. WIT will announce the winners of the award at the ninth presentation of the Women of the Year in technology Awards on Thursday September 18th at the Cobb Galleria.

"I am very honored to be recognized by WIT and to be among such a talented and inspirational group of women leaders. These women are simply amazing!" said Lynn Do. Ms Do has been a leader in the technical community of Atlanta. Most recently, she was the 2007 recipient of the AeA Southeast Spirit of Endeavor Awards for Technology Entrepreneur.

This year, forty-two women were nominated for the Women of the Year in Technology Awards, representing a broad range of industries including banking, retail, health care, public sector and utilities as well as technology organizations. The winners of the ninth annual awards were selected through a rigorous process from among more than 50 nominees.
